Listen to the Podcast
Have you been wondering if God made a mistake with you?
Maybe He just got it wrong.
The world would tell you that you decide who you are and it’s all on you to make all the things right.
Today, we are looking at it from God’s perspective.
This is Self-Help done God’s Way!
Today’s Question: Did God make a Mistake?
In this post…
Did God Make a Mistake with you?
“I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”
In todays wisdom Wednesday mini episode we are talking about us, as God’s creation.
No, He doesn’t make mistakes, friend! You are beautiful, just as He made you.
“For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.”
Psalm 139:13-16
Not very popular right now in the secular world. Everywhere in ever age people are being encouraged to discover who they are and proclaim who THEY decide THEY want to be, like somehow there was a level of mistake that occurred when they were created.
and without God, this makes sense. Without God, we are fully responsible for who we are and everything we will be. All on our own shoulders. All on us. No compass. No understanding of strength, being, or purpose aside from ourselves.
I don’t know about you, but I tried this approach before I found Jesus. Before I found surrender. Before I met God.
All it ever got me was a supreme lack of any self-worth because if it’s all up to me and I know I am not strong, then crap! That means this whole thing is crap and we are on a sinking ship. I’ll never measure up on my own.
This happens on all levels, and since this podcast deals with self-help this concept of ‘self’ is at the core of this discontent for the person we came into the world as.
Self-worth, or dare I say selfishness is at the root of all the issues here.
If you are struggling with self-worth or if you think somehow you feel responsible for or question who you are- stop, just stop. It’s not about or up to you.
Here, we are looking at truth and our truth comes from God’s word, not our insecurities.
You are God’s creation and He said you are wonderfully made! You don’t get to decide that you were made wrong. Do you think the creator of this universe somehow screwed up something as easy to create and so incredibly loved? Something He created in His image, you think He screwed that up?? And you are questioning if you’re capable or worthy? Our days were written in His book before we were even formed!
Looking from a Christian perspective.
So let’s approach this whole thing a bit differently- instead of us identifying our self-worth from what we, selfish little ‘we’ decide we are worthy of, let’s listen to what the creator of the universe, God has to say about us. Let’s give the glory to God and give our steps to Him.
