How to pray

A Prayer for our Families- How do I Pray?

Jan 27, 2022

A prayer for us and those we love.

I have spent the last week talking to all of you ladies. It’s been emotional. In the last episode, we talked about those families and how incredibly hard it is when we leave the church and all the dynamics of the relationships. The aftermath, if you will. Talking with you all broke my heart in so many ways.

But another theme was present with all of you.

If you had found Jesus and were building a relationship with Him, you had a good Christian friend that has sat and prayed with you. Many of you said, “I had never heard a prayer like that!”

If you are still searching and trying to navigate this post-Mormon or post religion landscape you flat out said, “I don’t know how to pray. How do you speak to Him and how does He speak to you?”

So instead of airing an interview today, I decided we needed to do something else- we need to pray.

Listen to the Podcast

Today we are Going to Pray for our Families…

Prayer requests-

Prayer for the parents, siblings, brothers, sisters, aunts uncles, grandparents that are still in the church that they may feel your love.

Pray that there will be peace over their relationships with us. That love will prevail despite the differences.

Prayer for the marriages. The mixed-faith marriages, the broken and the ones relearning their faith together.

I pray for the kids. The beautiful kids.

Pray from the Psalms

Make me to know your ways, O Lord;

teach me your paths.

5Lead me in your truth and teach me,

for you are the God of my salvation;

for you I wait all the day long.

Psalm 25:4-5

New Believer Needs to Know

The reason behind every one of my episodes comes from past experiences, real life questions, and struggles I have been through as an exmo (gal who left religion).
Want to know more about how this came about and resources that helped me get to the other side of faith?

Do you want to comment, share, laugh and cry about your faith journey with others who get it?
We talk about how the episodes affect us and all the trials, struggles and wins we experience on the winding road of faith.

One of the absolute hardest things to do after leaving the church is navigating what you actually believe.
What is left over baggage and what is truth?
In this audio training we brake down 10 things I wish I had known when beginning this journey. These are things all those who want to know Jesus should know.
